About Alyssa

Alyssa is a Caymanian historian and multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans self-portraiture, abstract art, poetry, styling, and photography. Rooted in cultural preservation and personal narrative, her work examines identity, memory, and the Caribbean diaspora through a distinctly contemporary lens.

She is the 2023–2024 recipient of the prestigious National Gallery Bendel Hydes Emerging Artist Award, a testament to her evolving influence within the visual arts. Alyssa holds a BA in Styling and Production and an MA in Creative Direction for Fashion Media, blending academic insight with an intuitive creative approach.

​

Based in London, Alyssa is the Creative Director of WIC, a multidisciplinary creative ecosystem encompassing events, media, and education. She is also the founder of the Cayman Heritage Guide, a cultural preservation platform dedicated to celebrating and documenting the heritage of the Cayman Islands.

​

In her current roles as personal shopper and creative director, Alyssa continues to bridge the worlds of fashion, storytelling, and art, crafting work that challenges boundaries while honoring her Caribbean roots.
